When I was a child our family always went to church on Sundays. I don't go now (although if I were to go once a year it would be to the midnight service on Christmas Eve for the carols and warm feeling of a happy congregation!), but I do think that it's possible to live a good life and be kind to people without having to visit a church once a week to prove it.
